A Free Workshop for Women on Planning for Retirement

Will Be Presented by Women in Transition

Join us on MONDAY, December 7th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Wayne Counseling Center for Women in Transition’s program on financial planning. Michael Maye, CPA®, Certified Financial Planner, President of MJM Financial Advisors, LLC and Mary Jean Barnes, an Associate of Coughlin Duffy LLP, a full service law firm in Morristown, will speak to women on creating financial independence and planning for retirement.

Women have particular challenges when facing life as a senior, but there are things that they can do to make it work. On average they earn less, outlive men and, are more likely to outlive their savings. So, take the first step to making retirement planning a priority, and call 973-694-9215 to register for this free, informative session.

In addition, women will be informed about what they need to know about the three most important legal documents regardless of assets: 1) will, 2) power of attorney, and 3) advanced medical directive. The presentation will be addressing these three basic documents, which are even more critical if you are on your own!

The Women in Transition program provides educational and supportive services for women who have lost their primary source of financial support, and need to re-enter the workforce because of separation, divorce, death or disability of a spouse. WIT addresses the important challenges facing many women today, and is open to all women who wish to take advantage of its job club and various workshops.

WIT is funded by the State of New Jersey, Division on Women and is conveniently located in the Wayne Counseling Center at 1022 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne.

Wayne Counseling and Family Services (973-694-1234) provides counseling for drug and alcohol abuse and treatment for marital, family, and mental health problems. Other services include community programs such as educational seminars and workshops on stress, self esteem, assertiveness training, and parenting.
